Culture Jamming consists of a form of hijacking used to deliver a subversive message. The message will be subverted in a witty or surprising way; essentially anti-corporate capitalism. Following this idea, our aim was to think of a corporation and logo that doesn’t hold great values/operate ethically and satirise the logotype. Then to have this placed on a T-Shirt template to promote the unethical views it portrays. I chose to culture jam the McDonald’s logo with the slogan ‘i’m lovin’ it’. McDonald’s (the same as any fast-food restaurant) can be seen as fattening to some people, especially if eaten multiple times in short periods. To display this thought, I simply changed the slogan to ‘i’m gainin’ it’ instead. Sadly, Photoshop nor Adobe in general did not have the exact font needed so I had to choose the closest to the original.
